about our church

What makes this church unique?

There are a lot of great churches around that are trying to represent Jesus accurately and attractively. We don’t think we’ve cornered the market nor do we labor under the misconception that we are in competition with other churches in town. We’re just happy to be a group of people who are learning to love and follow Jesus Christ.

We are distinctively contemporary in flavor and passionate about our vision. And we’re welcoming. But we’re not chasing the latest fads in order to appear novel. We actually hope we are not unique, but people tell us we are.

Is this a Christian church...or something else?

We are unapologetically Christian and trying to be even more so! The word Christian may bring up some misunderstandings and generate confusion. We just mean that we regard the Bible as our authoritative guide, God as our Creator and Heavenly Father, the Spirit as our inspiration and strength, and Jesus as our Lord and Savior. That may sound like a creed from long ago and far away, but here at Dayspring, our traditional beliefs are fleshed out in love and life.

What should I wear?

It is important to us that you feel comfortable at Dayspring. Most people dress very casually. When it is warm, you’ll see people in shorts and sandals. Wear whatever seems natural to you…whether it is business casual, a pair of jeans, a tie, or flip-flops!

Where do I park?

We have adequate parking with a special section of the front lot set aside for visitors.

about our service

What will the service be like?

Our weekend worship service usually begins with contemporary Christian music. Words to the songs are projected on large overhead screens. You are welcome to join in during this worship time or simply listen – whatever you are most comfortable with.

This time of worship is followed by a message shared by one of our pastors. The pastors at Dayspring Fellowship communicate the Bible in a compelling and contemporary way. What you learn on the weekend you’ll be able to use during the week because the practical messages relate to the real life pressures and problems we face.

We end our service with a few songs of worship. When the service is over, you have the opportunity to meet with other people in the lobby.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?

At Dayspring, it is our hope that you will allow the service to be our gift to you! As our guest, you will not be asked to participate in the offering. You will not need to sign anything or register your attendance. You will not be singled out or put on the spot in any way.

How long will the service last?

The weekend services at Dayspring last about one hour and 15 minutes.

What if I have questions before or after the service?

If you have questions once you arrive, look for the Welcome Center located in the church lobby. There you will find someone waiting to answer your questions.

children and students

What about my children? Do they come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?

Whether you need a safe environment for your children or a place for your teens to connect, someone from our welcome team will be nearby to help you get where you need to go. Our children's ministry provides an exciting experience for infants through preschoolers, kids in Kindergarten through Second grades, and also Third through Fifth grades. A full program is provided at our weekend service. This allows you to get the most from your experience at Dayspring while your child is receiving high levels of care, attention, teaching, and fun!

We are committed to your child’s safety while they are involved in our programs. All children aged 6 weeks through 4th grade at Dayspring Fellowship are to be checked in and out of class by an Adult. The children are given a name tag with a number, with a matching tag given to the adult checking in the child. This tag is required to check each child out of class. The parent who checks in the child MUST be the parent who checks the child out and MUST have the ID tag that matches the ID tag attached to your child, or your child will not be released. If we should need you for any reason, you will see your child’s ID number on the display in the Celebration Center.
