babies six weeks

to not yet walking

Care for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers is provided in our Nursery. The nursery area is split down the center with a half wall, keeping babies safe from more mobile toddlers. The infant side is set up with age-appropriate equipment, baby-safe toys, and space for floor play. Nursery is for babies ages six weeks to not yet walking.

walkers through age 3

Little Tykes is for walkers through age 3 who are still potty training. Our Little Tykes space is equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities; class time includes a Bible lesson, coloring pages, a snack, and playtime. Our Little Tykes space also has access to our girl’s bathroom for kiddos who are potty training. We are happy to change diapers and take littles to the toilet; however, we’ll call you as needed, if you prefer to do this yourself. Bottles and sippy cups from home are welcome, but please be sure to label them. Our hope for you is a meaningful and undistracted time of worship in church. Please let us know how we can best care for your child and provide that opportunity for you. We are eager to listen and help.

age 3 (potty-trained) through age 5

Our early childhood classis for our children age 3 who are potty-trained through age 5 and have not entered kindergarten. The Early Childhood classroom is upstairs in Room 123 and is equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities. We use the Bible-based Grow curriculum. Typically, we begin our class with activity stations and curriculum-themed activities, followed by a lesson video, Bible lesson and memory verse activity. Parents may pick their children up at the entrance to Room 123 at the end of the service.

For kids kindergarten through 5th grade

The Elementary class is held for kindergarten through 5th grade. We use the Bible-based Grow curriculum. We meet in the Gym for games and curriculum-related activities. We will either stay in the Gym or move upstairs to Room 125 for our lesson video, Big Idea, Bible lesson and monthly memory verse. We often conclude our time by participating in the worship from our main service via livestream. If children are in the Gym, parents may come to the entrance of the Gym to pick them up. If children are in Room 125, we bring the children down after the service to be released to the parents at the check-in kiosk.

Safety

All Dayspring Children’s volunteers are background checked and carefully trained before serving our kids. We follow a strict check-in process that includes parents checking children in at the kiosk computer upon arrival, as well as volunteers signing kids in on clipboards in the classroom. We also lock the main doors into our children’s ministry area during class time. If any threat arises, we also lock down our Nursery doors. Your child’s safety is our top priority.

Allergies & Special Needs

When completing our registration form, please be sure to tell us of any allergies, medical needs, or behavioral needs so we can provide the best care for your child. We want both you and your kids to feel comfortable and safe when you come to church. Our classes are staffed with loving volunteers who want to help, so please don’t hesitate to talk with us. We ask that no outside food be brought into our classrooms in order to protect children who may have allergies.

Wellness Policy

Children who are experiencing fever, vomiting, or other contagious illness should be symptom and fever free (without the assistance of medication) for 24 hours before coming to any Children’s Ministry class.

Special Environments

Moms' Viewing Room

We have a room for nursing mothers at the back of our Celebration Center. It allows our moms privacy and a soundproof room. The room is equipped with rockers, a changing table, and speakers to hear the service.
