adult ministries

Studies show that we grow more in community. Being spiritually healthy involves developing relationships with others and doing life together. Growth Groups are designed to connect small groups of adults (10-16), and for authentic relationships to be cultivated while digging deeper into the weekly sermon. Study questions are provided for your group to discuss. The environment is welcoming and relaxed. If you are interested in joining one of our ongoing groups, please contact Michelle Snook. We look forward to having you join a group!

The most effective way for anyone to grow spiritually is to be in God’s Word regularly. Our co-ed adult Bible studies give you an opportunity to study the Bible along with a small group with 10-16 people. These groups are designed to help you develop the rhythm of being in the Bible regularly. Weekly meetings are facilitated by a leader and include discussion of the week’s lesson and a teaching time. If you would like to join a group, please contact Pastor Michelle.

You cannot fulfill God’s purpose for your life alone; you need to be in community with others. Explore! 101: My Church Family is a class that will help you to decide if Dayspring is the community for you. This class covers five important purposes for your life and why you need a church family to fulfill those purposes. We’ll also look at the history of Dayspring Fellowship, our statement of faith, and our goals as we look toward the future. We will cover baptism, communion, and what it means to become a member of Dayspring.

You are the sum total of your daily habits and life rhythms. But did you know that there are spiritual habits that will strengthen you to become all that God has intended for you to be? Explore! 201: My Spiritual Maturity is the second of a four-class series at Dayspring. This class will teach you how to develop some of those habits that will help you take the next step in your spiritual growth. We’ll cover four spiritual habits, including: time in God’s Word, prayer, tithing, and fellowship. Explore! 201 will equip you with the skills you need to begin these habits as well as explain the tools you need to do so.

When you understand who God made you to be, you’ll understand what God made you to do. Explore! 301: My Ministry is the third in our Explore! Your Spiritual Journey series. In this class, you’ll discover your unique design or S.H.A.P.E. for ministry. S.H.A.P.E. stands for: Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences. You’ll see how these things come together to make you unique and how you can serve others using your unique S.H.A.P.E. Since these classes build on each other, please be sure to take 101 and 201 prior to registering for 301.

This final class in our Explore! Your Spiritual Journey series is filled with both great information and encouragement about God’s purpose for your life and the opportunity you have to touch people through sharing your faith story. We’ll talk about communicating the story of God’s love, understanding His mission, and what it looks like to live each day for the purposes of His kingdom. Discover God’s call on your life!
