Chris has been part of the pastoral team at Dayspring for more than 20 years, serving as Pastor of Celebration Ministries since 2000, as well as Lead Pastor since 2018.
Chris says, “As a worship leader for more than 25 years, I have seen my share of both healthy and unhealthy ministries. Through it all God has developed a desire in me to cultivate greater health in the body of Christ – both spiritually and emotionally – and to challenge Christ-followers to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength; to live out their faith, applying the truths of God’s Word to their daily lives in practical, meaningful ways.”
Chris is an innovator and organizer, passionate and purposeful; a servant leader with a shepherd’s heart. His fervent desire is to equip, encourage and challenge believers toward a lifestyle of faithful obedience to Christ.
In his spare time Chris provides business consulting to small business. He plays keyboards and guitar (though he doesn’t claim guitar very often), acknowledges an addiction to Diet Coke, makes a killer mac and cheese, enjoys reading, riding rollercoasters, and spending time with his wife, DeeDee, adult kids Lexi (Matt) and Josh, and granddaughter, Avery.
Michelle is our resident Jill of all trades! She’s been part of the pastoral team since 2005. At one time or another she has overseen our Children’s, Student, and Adult Ministries, as well as Staff, Leadership Development and Facilities.
Michelle has been a Bible teacher for more than 18 years, as well as an international retreat speaker. She is passionate about Bible study and loves helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. In earlier seasons of life Michelle has worked as a fitness instructor, as well as a paramedic/firefighter.
Michelle is an avid DIYer and enjoys crafting and sewing. She loves all things Disney, reading, travel, great food, and time with family and friends.
Michelle is married to Tony and they share four awesome daughters, Sarah (Chris), Amy, Jamie (Patrick), and Annie (Joe), as well as bonus daughters Lexi, June and Kate, and grandchildren Tristen and Dorothy.
Jon is the newest member of our pastoral team. He served in Student Ministries for seven years before joining the Dayspring staff in 2019. A graduate of Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon. Jon has a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries with a focus in Student Ministries, as well as a Minor in Worship Arts.
Jon loves music and plays guitar, electric guitar, and drums. His wife, Laura, plays bass, and they enjoy serving on the Dayspring Worship Team together. Jon enjoys reading, researching, Bible study, and technology. He and Laura also enjoy traveling, camping, food, and spending time with friends.
Jon is passionate about sharing Jesus with students and helping them learn what it means to follow Him.
We are searching for our next Pastor of Children's Ministries.
When you ask us what we do at Dayspring Fellowship, you won’t just hear a list of tasks or job responsibilities; you’ll hear our story. We are passionate about using our talents, time and resources for God’s purposes; that’s why we are whole-heartedly dedicated to a life of ministry, not just doing a job. We have the privilege of leading people – kids and adults - to become fully devoted Christ-followers. And along the way, we choose to be risk-takers, grace-givers, and truth-speakers who have fun, laugh hard, and honor God with integrity. Would you like to be part of our team?
If loving and leading children to know Jesus is your passion; if you are committed to serving and discipling the next generation; if you are passionate about helping kids to grow, live out and share their faith; if you get excited about creatively and compassionately making a difference for Christ, and encouraging others to do the same, then we would love for you to explore what we are looking for in a Pastor of Children’s Ministries.
